Customer-Provided Parts Policy

While Highline Automotive does not generally recommend the use of parts provided by customers, we respect and acknowledge our customers' preferences when it comes to specific manufacturers, part specifications, or other choices.

In the event a customer supplies their own parts, the following policies apply:

1. Safety Concerns: Management will refuse to install any parts that impact the potential safety and operation of a vehicle.  This includes but is not limited to any part of the vehicle’s braking system.

2. Warranty and Liability: Highline Automotive cannot offer any warranty or guarantee on parts supplied by customers. The customer assumes full responsibility for the quality, compatibility, and performance of the parts provided.

3. Labor Costs: A 25% increase to the standard labor charge will be applied for the installation of customer-provided parts. Additional labor charges may apply if the parts require extra time or special handling.

4. Inspection: All customer-supplied parts must be inspected by our technicians before installation. If the parts are deemed incompatible or unsafe, we reserve the right to refuse installation.

5. Installation Risks: Highline Automotive is not responsible for any issues arising from the installation of customer-provided parts, including but not limited to, performance problems, vehicle damage, or additional repair costs.

6. Defective Parts: If a customer-supplied part is found to be defective, its removal and the installation of a new part will be scheduled at the next available time slot. The customer is responsible for all labor costs associated with the removal and installation of the defective and new parts.

7. Incorrect Parts: If the customer provides incorrect parts, the posted storage fee will apply until the correct parts are supplied or the vehicle is removed from the premises.

8. Service Time: Installation of customer-provided parts may extend service time, depending on the part's condition and fitment.

9. Acknowledgement Waiver: An acknowledgment waiver must be signed by the customer before the installation of customer-supplied parts.

By supplying your own parts, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
